Responsible for repair and maintenance of all equipment to help maintain a safe and productive environment.


  1. Assists Maintenance Mechanics in the fabrication, installation, repair, removal, modification of equipment.
  2. Perform general plant/building maintenance inside and outside.
  3. Assist contractors with specific projects.
  4. Work as part of a team and participate in the company’s maintenance and production efforts.

During the established probationary period (60 days) the employee will be assessed to determine if they meet the minimum skill requirements. A satisfactory performance evaluation is also required. A General Maintenance associate must be capable of following instructions in performance of assigned work. A Mechanic will be required to work outside of his/her assigned work area when necessary. Maintenance personnel will also be required to perform other duties as required. The required Technical/Non-Technical Skills are listed below:

Technical Skills:

  1. Basic math Skills
  2. Basic measuring
  3. Basic reading and writing
  4. Basic us of power tools
  5. Basic use of hand tools

Non-Technical Skills:

Safety requires a basic knowledge and compliance with:

  1. All EHS policies to include general safety rules.
  2. All ZES procedures.
  3. Emergency Response Procedures.
  4. MSDS’s applicable to assigned work area.
  5. Safety Observation Program
  6. Plant Environmental Policies and Procedures.


  1. Must provide his/her own basic selection of required maintenance tools according to assigned craft and must provide a tool box.


  1. Must be able to perform repair maintenance with minimal and non-continuous supervision.


Position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Must have own tools. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and be dependable.
