Freight Surcharge Letter

Dear Valued Customer,

Price increases and the shortage of truck drivers have significantly impacted the cost of outbound freight delivery to your location. Blue Ridge Fiberboard has been absorbing all such freight costs, however, we are no longer able to do so and must pass along a portion of the increased costs.

Effective on new orders shipped on or after Monday June 18th Blue Ridge will be implementing a freight surcharge of $300 per load for any previously non-confirmed orders. The freight charge will be in addition to our current fuel surcharge. For billing simplification Blue Ridge will combine both the existing fuel surcharge ($100 East, $150 Central, $200 West) and the new freight charge ($300) and bill collectively as a Freight Surcharge.

Additionally, the newly created Freight Surcharge will be prorated by the pallet at all 12 Blue Ridge warehouse locations for will-call purchases. Material will-called at the Blue Ridge plant in Danville, VA will not be assessed a Freight Surcharge.

Thank you for your loyalty to Blue Ridge and for your understanding during this turbulent transportation era.

The Freight Surcharge for full trucks, vans or intermodal are as follows:

Prorated 4’x4’ & 4’x8’ pallet rates for F.O.B. warehouse will-calls:

*SoundStop® Mini Bundles, Sound-Abate™, Stomp™ and Cant & Edge
Strip Materials will be charged the 4’ x 4’ pallet rate.
